Terms of Service

Last updated October 10, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of SubZero at subzeros.ca (the "Service"), operated by an individual sole proprietor based in British Columbia, Canada ("we", "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. What SubZero does

SubZero helps you keep track of recurring subscriptions you choose to add. It shows totals, upcoming renewal dates, reminders, and links to cancellation pages. SubZero does not connect to your bank, does not pay or manage your other subscriptions, and does not cancel subscriptions on your behalf.

2. Your account and responsibilities

3. Information is provided as-is

Prices, renewal dates, and cancellation links shown in SubZero are estimates. Some are pre-filled from typical published prices, and some are read automatically from screenshots or text using AI, which can make mistakes. Always confirm details with the subscription provider. We aren't responsible for charges you incur, missed cancellations, or decisions you make based on information in the Service.

4. Reminders and alerts

Email and push reminders are a convenience only. We don't guarantee that they'll be delivered on time or at all, for example if an email is filtered as spam or notifications are turned off on your device.

5. Third-party services

SubZero links to third-party websites, such as subscription providers' cancellation pages, and displays their names and logos to identify them. We don't control those websites and aren't affiliated with or endorsed by those companies. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.

6. SubZero Pro (paid plan)

7. Your data

How we collect and use your information is described in our Privacy Policy. You can delete the subscriptions you've added at any time.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties or conditions of any kind, express or implied, including merchantable quality, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of money, profits, or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $50 CAD. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.

10. Changes and termination

We may update the Service or these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know by email or in the Service. We may suspend access for anyone who violates these Terms. You can stop using the Service at any time.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If you live elsewhere in Canada, you also keep the protections of your own province's consumer laws.
