How to cancel Amazon Prime in Canada
Last checked October 2026
You can end Amazon Prime on amazon.ca or in the Amazon app. Amazon shows a few "are you sure?" screens before it lets you go, so keep clicking through.
Go to the Amazon Prime cancel page
On amazon.ca
- Sign in at amazon.ca and open Accounts & Lists, then Prime Membership.
- Select Manage, then End Membership (the wording may be "End membership and benefits").
- Click through the reminder screens. Amazon asks you to confirm more than once.
- Choose whether to end now or at the end of your billing period, then confirm.
In the Amazon Shopping app
- Open the menu, then Your Account.
- Tap Manage Prime Membership.
- Tap End Membership and follow the same confirmation screens.
Billed by someone else?
If you get Prime through a phone or internet bundle, cancel with that provider. If you subscribed in an iPhone or iPad app, Apple bills you: open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, then cancel there.
What happens after you cancel
- Amazon offers to end Prime right away or at the end of your current billing period.
- If you haven't used any Prime benefits since your last charge, Amazon may offer a full refund. If you've used some, it may offer a partial refund. The cancellation screens show what you qualify for.
Tips
- Prime Video channels (like Crave or Starz on Prime Video) are separate subscriptions. Cancel them under Memberships & Subscriptions.
Menus change from time to time. If a step doesn't match what you see, Amazon Prime's official help page has the latest version.
