How to cancel ChatGPT Plus in Canada

Where you cancel ChatGPT Plus depends on where you bought it: on chatgpt.com, or in the iPhone or Android app.
Go to the ChatGPT Plus cancel page
Bought on chatgpt.com
- Sign in at chatgpt.com.
- Open your account menu and select Settings.
- Select Billing (or Subscription), then Cancel plan, and confirm.
Bought in the iPhone app
- Open Settings on your iPhone and tap your name.
- Tap Subscriptions, then ChatGPT.
- Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm.
Billed by someone else?
If you subscribed in an Android app, Google Play bills you: open play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions and cancel there.
What happens after you cancel
- You keep Plus until the end of your current billing period, then the account moves to the free plan.
- OpenAI emails a confirmation to the address on file.
Tips
- Cancel at least a day before renewal. A cancellation on the renewal day may not stop a charge that's already processing.
- Lost access to the account email? OpenAI Support can cancel it if you give the account email plus two billing details, like the card's last four digits and the last charge date. Never send your full card number.
